Nadine

Nadine is an incredibly talented Opera singer that I have had the pleasure of photographing before. This time, however, she was hoping for something a little outside my normal expertise. This time, instead of still images, Nadine asked me to video her singing for her demo reel. I couldn’t wait to work with her again and immediately jumped head first. You can view the video by clicking the photograph below.

Her lovely singing partner is a very close friend named Katie, another exceptionally talented Opera singer.

Calgary Stampede

On July 6th, I was given permission to run the Calgary Stampede Instagram account for the day. The awesome people in the marketing department of the organization provided me with tickets to all the events and free reign to photograph the day. Everyone goes for the rides and the interesting and unique foods but as I got to explore more, I found some pretty cool displays and demonstrations I never know they had. Things like chickens that had hatched less than a day prior, or blacksmiths making various works of art. Obviously the rodeo cannot be forgotten either. however, I think the highlight of my day was the police-escorted wagon ride from The Stampede grounds to downtown Calgary. Below are a few photos from that day, the hardest part was only picking a few shots to showcase the sheer amount of events and things to see at the Stampede.

Equipment Used:

  • Nikon D800
  • Nikon 24mm F2.8D
  • Nikon 50mm F1.4G
  • Nikon 180mm F2.8D
