What do you do when you are in a long-distance relationship but want to do a couples shoot? You enlist the services of your best friend as a stand in obviously. That is exactly what Julie did with her best friend Jess, and this is their story…
Having known Tanya for a few years, I was so excited when she asked me to take engagement photographs for her and her fiancée Nick.
This was definitely one of the most memorable engagement shoots I have ever had the pleasure of being apart of. Part of that is because Tanya and Nick had the great idea (if not a little out of the ordinary) to use a battle axe, sword and shield in the shoot. The idea only added to the fun and definitely gave the shoot some uniqueness that defines these two amazing people.
I wish them all the best in their future, although they definitely seem to have found the best in each other.
Nadine is an incredibly talented Opera singer that I have had the pleasure of photographing before. This time, however, she was hoping for something a little outside my normal expertise. This time, instead of still images, Nadine asked me to video her singing for her demo reel. I couldn’t wait to work with her again and immediately jumped head first. You can view the video by clicking the photograph below.
Her lovely singing partner is a very close friend named Katie, another exceptionally talented Opera singer.
Graduation can be one of the biggest accomplishments for anyone and some people want photographs to remember it by. I was, very luckily, asked to do a graduation shoot for an incredibly smart and beautiful young lady named Gul who recently graduated from the University of Calgary with a Biological sciences degree and has just started her masters program.
I want to wish her all the best in her future endeavours and thank her so much for letting me be a part of this wonderful milestone in her life.
The shoot, which was an absolute blast to photograph with such a fun and natural person, was done down at Princes Island Park in Downtown Calgary.
